Part one Friday

Bee's!
We had the most incredible Friday in the history of Friday's, at least while we've been in Rogers. We went out to Bill and Barb's house to have lunch and work the bee's. I don't need to explain lunch, mainly cuz I know you either do lunch, or have seen it done. Working bee's on the other hand you may not have any idea! I had no idea!

I have always been fascinated by bee's and what they do. The past few years have been hard on them, as they are dying off from unknown reason and more people are becoming allergic to them and want to smash them. Now, I'm not talking about the huge bumble bee's, I'm talking about honey bee's. I'm sure we have all been stung by at least one. I will never forget the first bee that stung me! I was hanging out of a tree in Hawaii and didn't have any shoes on. Jumped out of the tree, right onto the bee and got stung.

The thing about bee's is they just want to be bee's. They don't want to do anything but their job, whatever that may be. Everyone does their job, get's along, takes care of each other and the hive and lives a life pretty much allowing the rest of the earth to eat. See, if it weren't for bee's, our food supply would go away, because they are the ones who insure cross pollination. Bee's just want to be the best bee's that they can be. It's that simple and that complex!

To be nobody but yourself in a world that's doing it's best to make you somebody else, is to fight the hardest battle you are ever going to fight. Never stop fighting! ~ ee cummings

All that's expected of us is to be who we were made to be. Now, it takes a whole life to figure that out, and about the time of midlife we start freaking out that we aren't doing what we should be doing, or making enough money, or looking young enough, or married to the right person.

Bee's live on average of three and a half weeks, so they really don't have a mid life to worry with. But God made bee's to be bee's! They get it! Have you ever really watched bee's doing the bee thing? Instead of swatting the crap out of them, stop and just watch. They don't want to mess with you so calm down. They find a flower and they run around inside of it, looking for nectar to drink up. A by product of that hunt is pollination, another by product is some of the pollen sticks to their legs and gives them what looks like fat jeans. They go back to the hive and clean up, just to go out again. Not only do they take time to find the flowers, they dance in them! I'm going to figure out how to do a bee dance!

I ask that you take sometime this week and watch a bee, sit there and just watch him doing his thing. Remember that God made you to do your thing too. Don't know what that's suppose to be? Maybe it's time to sit a spell and just bee.
