As I sit here at my computer looking out my window, I can't help but feel joy for the snowbirds. They are loven the snow! Snowbirds have white underbellies and a dark, almost black top side! They jump around in the snow to find seeds and they are having a great time in the back yard today.
We have two inches of ice fall early this morning followed by snow. At the present time we have about five inches on the ground and should be getting close to five more before it stops. Needless to say, we are having a snow day! I am loven it cuz Preacher man is staying home with me too! I do however have something to share with you today and I thought it was pretty cool.
It always seem to help me to have my weekly talk with my heart friend Pat! We got to talk last night while Alex was at a meeting. Now Pat and I don't solve each others problems, but we do listen for what the Holy Spirit is saying behind the words. It's refreshing and I miss spending time with her! I am honest in my feelings and thoughts with her and I see our time almost like a confessional that is good for the soul. We all need a confessor! (I'm learning this from my class!) When Alex got home he had been in a good meeting with the District Superintendent and we both had felt like we had been heard. So this morning, during my devotional time God shares this with me again. I say again, because I remember reading it last year while I was sitting around with a hurt hip flexor.
Are you in difficult circumstances, surrounded by people who do not understand you, never ask your opinion, and always push you aside? "This is my doing." I am the God of circumstances. You did not come to this point by accident - you are exactly where I meant for you to be.
So with new eyes I called Ann, who is in charge of our county CALL, and I told her I wanted to head up the prayer ministry for our area. After the prayer time that our group shared Saturday, the thickness of the Holy Spirit when this group came together and held hands, well, it almost knocked me down, how could I not hear God calling me to this! God has lead us to this group of people, these couples that want to stand in the gap for the unloved children in our county. God has opened this door to fellow Christians that love Jesus and want to do the will of God, even if it's uncomfortable for them and their families. I am excited to see what God will do with this! I am charged up to pray for families who are under attack because they are seeking to do the will of God. This is what brings my heart joy and makes me say things like "Bring it Jesus! We are ready, because you have gone ahead of us!"

Of course I would be the only one with their eyes closed. Sheesh!
I'll pray with you any day, sis-tuh!
I always thought snowbirds were Canadians and New Yorkers who came to FL every winter. They jumped around in the surf and all had white bellies too LOL!
Now I understand what CALL is no need to answer my question on a previous post.
Glad Lindsay wants to pray with you. Could be the start you were looking for.
