Mr. Clean

Have I ever told you about my issues with cleaning the house? It's not like the common problem or hating it or anything. It's that I'm so anal about getting it right and really clean that I go into the bathroom and spend all day in there so you could eat off the shower floor! It's crazy and makes for a long day in one room of the house. Alex is one of the cleanest guys I know, and in our past life, we have both cleaned our church in Durango as a job. Mine was full time for the church, while his was as a property manager type of thing. He can clean faster than me and almost as good, so I have asked him to help me with my issue of overcleaning. So today, in about five hours, I cleaned most of the house! I'm looking at it as my workout for the day. I may have pushed it a little with the stretching to clean the top of the shower, but I will ice it later and take a hot shower to make me feel better.

I got an e-mail today from the soup kitchen in Durango. They had called me a few weeks ago and wanted to know if I would come out on May 15 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Manna. I told them I would if they flew me out there, amd they said OK. So I was all excited about going out there and hanging with my buds, but the e-mail I got today said they had to move it because they would be having the Taste of Durango that weekend, and that is a huge fundraiser for them (or it use to be when I ran the place). Anyway, they moved the date to May 22! That's when Alex graduates! So it doesn't look like I'll be getting to go out, and that breaks my heart. Now my mood matches the weather—overcast and gloomy. Now Alex is going to call me a grouchy monkey again—DANG IT!
