Random Stuff & God

I believe this is the sun!  I haven't seen it in a long time so I thought I should take a picture of it so I can remember later when I forget!

I finally got the Chess pie recipe from Momma the other day and wanted to share it with you, so here it is
1 Unbaked pie shell
2 eggs beat until fluffy
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup light cream or carnation milk
2 teaspoons cornmeal
2 teaspoons flour
1 stick of butter
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Beat all together and pour into pie shell bake 1 hour at 350.
There you have it and if you don't believe this is your most favorite pie in all the world, then just send it to me!

Galatians 5:22-23 says "By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  There is no law against such things."  And aren't we glad!  I love it - there is no law against such things!  It's like Duh!  Come on people - let's do these things!  Usually people are talking you into the stuff from the verses before it - fornication, impurity, licentiousness, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, anger, quarrels, dissensions, factions, envy, drunkenness, carousing and things like these!   Hummm, makes me think that God wants living to be easy, pleasant, simple, enjoyable.  Not all these other things that are hard for me to pronouns let alone know the meaning of.  I know what joy, love and the others are and they make my heart light.  It's like running, it's relatively simple to do and can bring you joy and peace.  It's self-control and sometimes helps you show kindness to others.  However, I don't want to sound like I'm saying that running is equal to the gifts of the Spirit.  It's more like running helps me understand the gifts that the Spirit gives.  Yeah, that's more like what I think I'm trying to say!   The gift's are like shoes that we get to put on to run this race, all we have to do is asked to be filled!  Fill me up Holy Spirit...I ready to run!!!

Great picture of the sun! Hope it stays around for you for a while.
Thanks for the recipe, gonna compare it with my Aunts.
I like your running example of the gifts of the Spirit putting on the shoes to run this race. And I love the simplicity of love, joy, peace, etc.
